We have not been able to link this to a specific aircraft, but we recently sold another with US Navy label on its case and 1955 service label.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cspan rwr=\"1\" size=\"4\"\u003e\u003cspan rwr=\"1\" size=\"4\"\u003e\u003cspan rwr=\"1\" size=\"4\"\u003e\u003cspan rwr=\"1\" size=\"4\"\u003e\u003cspan rwr=\"1\" size=\"4\"\u003e\u003cspan rwr=\"1\" size=\"4\"\u003eThe instrument is in exceptional condition for its age. The dial markings are clear and the glass and case are intact. Measures ~2.5in diameter and ~3.5inches deep.  See photos.
